COVID-19 Health & Safety

Avoca Catering has adopted the following additional health and safety protocols to help ensure we provide a safe environment for our staff, suppliers and clients. All our normal policies and processes with regard to health, safety and food production apply without exception. These additional measures are:

General

  • Avoca will always fully comply with the COVID-19 policies of the clients' premises in which we operate

Staff Management

  • All staff are body-temperature checked every day prior to the start of their shift;
  • Any staff with flu like symptoms are excluded from the workplace until they have returned a negative COVID-19 test;
  • No visitors are allowed to access any kitchen area – this includes suppliers and sales people;
  • All staff are to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds when entering any kitchen area;
  • All staff are to thoroughly and frequently wash their hands with warm water and soap;
  • All staff are to regularly use the hand sanitizer provided in each kitchen area;
  • All staff are to wear face masks at all times when in each kitchen area.

Food Preparation & Delivery

  • Meals are boxed individually in disposable containers (unless requested otherwise by our client);
  • Each meal container is loaded into a sanitised transport box for delivery;
  • Orders for different clients are packed in separate transport boxes;
  • Our delivery driver is required to sanitise his/her hands before commencing their shift (gloves and mask to be worn at all times);
  • Our delivery driver will sanitise their hands before dropping off any delivery (in addition to wearing gloves)
  • Our delivery driver will avoid physical contact with our customers - contactless delivery will be implemented wherever possible.
